Board Of Education Meeting 06/13/2022 – Will Set Goals And Expectations For Incoming Superintendent, Vote On International Exchange Policy, Discuss Meeting Schedule For Upcoming Year

The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is meeting 06/13/2022.

The meeting will start out in closed session at 4PM, per the agenda, “for the purpose of discussing goal setting and expectations with the incoming Superintendent, facilitated by Louise Blankenheim of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB).”

The meeting will then move into open session either at 6PM or once the closed session is over, whichever is later.

In open session, the board will be voting to recognize the importance of international exchange for students and the school community. They will also be voting on an update to the international exchange sponsoring organizations list.

The Board will also be discussing the board meeting schedule for the upcoming year.

Finally, of note, Polly Vanden Boogaard the current Assistant Superintendent of Public and Student Services is departing 06/20/2022. It looks like a replacement has been hired. The Board of Education will be voting to approve hiring Sheree L Garvey as the new Assistant Superintendent of School Services effective 07/01/2022. She is currently the Associate Director of Student Services.
