The Municipal Services Committee is meeting 05/06/2024 at 4:30PM.
They will, once again, be taking up the resolution that would allow overnight parking in some fashion to take place within the city of Appleton. It has been in and out of committee since late last year, and during the 04/08/2024 meeting, the committee deadlocked on a vote to approve the resolution. So, it is now coming back with a reconstituted committee for another vote.
The committee will also be voting on a request to extend the street occupancy permit related to the Fox Commons/City Center Plaza project through July 1, 2024.
They will be taking up a request to approve revisions to the Downtown Appleton Parking and Meter Bag Policy.
They will be voting on a request to approve loading zone stalls on Lawrence Street by the YMCA.
The committee will also be voting on a number or ordinance changes related to various construction and road projects.
Finally, as an information item, they will be receiving an update on Bird Rides, the company in charge of the Bird e-scooter.
