City Plan Commission Meeting 12/13/2023 – Will Vote On Rezoning Request For Wisconsin Avenue Parcels, Dedication Of Land For Public Trails In Southpoint Commerce Park

The City Plan Commission is meeting 12/13/2023 at 3:30PM.

They will be holding a public hearing and then voting on a request to rezone three parcels between Union Street, Lawe Street, and Wisconsin Avenue from C-2 General Commercial District to C-1 Neighborhood Mixed Use District. These lots currently consist of a single-family home and a trailer sales business. The change in zoning would allow the potential redevelopment of the site for multi-family housing. Staff is recommending that the request be approved.

The commission will also vote on a request to approve the combining of two parcels on Richmond Street between Grant Street and Parkway Boulevard. Both lots are zoned the same and the only reason city staff cannot approve this request administratively is because the parcels were originally platted in different plats.

Finally, the commission will be voting on two items related to the Southpoint commerce Park, the first to approve the final plat for Plat Number 4 and the second to approve the city’s acquisition and accept the dedication of the proposed outlots for public trail purposes within Southpoint Commerce Park.
