The Municipal Services Committee is meeting 12/12/2022 at 4:30PM.
They will be voting on a couple contracts related to the closed City of Appleton Landfill, a street occupancy permit for placement of a construction dumpster, and a partial street vacation request near the intersection of Appleton/Pacific/Oneida streets.
Additionally, there is a request for a permanent street occupancy permit related to a groundwater monitoring well near the corner of E Franklin Street and North Oneida Street. While a groundwater monitoring well may not be particularly interesting, people may be interested in noting that this is the empty lot directly north of the Transit Center which Valley Transit is interested in purchasing so that they can build a larger mixed-use transit center.
The sale of that property to Valley Transit and its development into a mixed-use transit center is also related to Item 22-1582 on the Municipal Services Committee agenda which is “Approve Master Professional Services Agreement with Westwood Professional Services, Inc. through December 31, 2027.” Westwood is the company that will be conducting remediation on the property.
The committee will also be receiving the Bird E-Scooter report for November.
