Common Council Meeting 11/17/2021 – Will Vote On Polling Place Assignments, Sculpture Lease Extensions, RiverTyme Bistro Premise Amendment

The Appleton Common Council is meeting 11/17/2021 at 7PM.

The mayor does not appear to have any proclamations to present at the meeting, but he will be making his Information Technology Director recommendation. The candidate he is recommending is Corey Popp. Mr. Popp has over 30 years of IT experience and has served for over 20 years as the Director of Information Technology for Bergstrom Holdings.

The Council will be receiving a Covid-19 update, which may be interesting given the increase in cases of the last week.

The Council will be voting on a special resolution assigning polling places as a result of redistricting.

One never knows exactly what items will be separated out for an individual vote, but there are a few items of interest on the agenda.

The lease extension for The Collective sculpture had been put on hold at the last Council meeting until the lease extension requests for two other sculptures made it through the committee process. If Alderperson Alex Schultz (District 9) is in attendance, those three items will have to be separated because, as the Executive Director of Sculpture Valley the organization requesting the lease extensions, it would be a conflict of interest to vote on them.

The RiverTyme Bistro Premise Amendment application had been put on hold at that last meeting, so that should be taken up again at this meeting.
