Common Council Meeting 04/02/2025 – Will Vote On $200,000 Parking Utility Planning And Marketing Study, Carryover Requests For Climate Consultant And City Center Signage

The Common Council is meeting 04/02/2025 at 7PM.

There are two items that stand out to me as likely to be separated out for individual votes.

The first is the request to approve a $200,000 contract with Walker Consultants to perform a DPW Parking Utility Strategic Planning and Marketing Study. This was recommended for approval by a vote of 3-1 by the Municipal Services Committee.

The second is 2024-2025 budget carryover appropriations requests. Most of the carryover requests were recommended for approval by the Finance Committee, but they recommended denial of a couple line items:

1. A request to take $107,625 of funds left over from the 2025 Park Pavilion Roof Replacement Project and direct it toward hiring a consultant to create a sustainability and climate action plan for Appleton.
2. A request to take $20,006 left over from a furniture upgrade project and a fire station lighting upgrade project and put it toward new City Hall signage associated with the Fox Commons/City Center redevelopment project.
