The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is meeting 09/09/2024 at 6PM.
They will be voting on some high school English Language Arts materials purchases and course curriculum and also voting on a Superintendent compensation increase for the 2024-2025 school year. The 3.11% increase amounts to $6,775 paid out as a $6,500 increase in salary and a $275 tax-shelter annuity increase.
The Board will also be receiving two reports, one a summary of the 2023-24 fiscal year and the other an update on the District’s scorecard.
For the 2023-24 year, the District had an ending general fund balance of $54,117,233 $39 million of which was restricted/assigned and $15 million of which is unassigned.
Per the Power Point slides regarding the 2023-24 District Scorecard, the District was able to increase the overall 4 year graduation rate but was not able to decrease the test score gaps in ELA and mathematics between various groups of students.
