The Utilities Committee is meeting 05/07/2024 at 4:30PM.
They will be voting on a question to accept $611,302 from the DNR’s Safe Drinking Water Loan Program.
They will also be voting on two sole source items.
The first is a $29,000 engineering services contract with McMahon as part of the water treatment facility carbon dioxide system rehabilitation project. McMahon is very experienced with the plant’s carbon dioxide system. Per the memo, “That experience has translated into highly responsive and cost-effective services. Their proposal reflects the value the city would be receiving.”
The second is for a $90,000 lead monitoring system from Badger Meter Syrinix. Per the memo, the city has a long-standing relationship with Badger Syrinix and “During our research phase we did find some alternatives to Badger Syrinix, but none that came close in overall performance and support, and cost was comparable across the board.”
Finally, they will be voting on a request to approve a contract amendment for the Phase 2 Solids Dewatering Equipment Upgrades Project.
