Mayor Woodford To Present 7 Proclamations At 04/17/2024 Common Council Meeting – Golden Rule Day, Autism Acceptance Month, Library Week, Arbor Day, Earth Day, Public Health Week, Hemophilia Awareness Day

This evening at the 04/17/2024 Common Council meeting Mayor Woodford will be presenting 7 mayoral proclamations.

With the first he proclaims April 5, 2024 to be Golden Rule Day in Appleton and encourages “all residents to adhere to the Golden Rule, treating others the way they wish to be treated.”

With the second he proclaims the month of April 2024 to be Autism Acceptance Month in Appleton and encourages “residents to participate in programs and outreach efforts aimed toward educating and supporting ASD awareness.”

With the third he proclaims April 7-13, 2024 to be Library Week in Appleton and encourages “all residents to visit the temporary library at 3000 E. College Avenue” and encourages “patrons to join in the programming that will occur throughout the community, continue to access the library’s website and electronic resources, and look forward to the new library’s grand opening.”

With the fourth he proclaims April 26, 2024 to the Arbor Day in Appleton and encourages “residents to celebrate Arbor Day, support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands, and plan trees to gladden the heart and promote the wellbeing of this and future generations.”

With the fifth he proclaims April 22, 2024 to the Earth Day in Appleton and encourages “residents, businesses, and institutions to celebrate the Earth and promote the protection of our species and environment.”

With the sixth he proclaims the week of April 1-7, 2024 to be Public Health Week in Appleton and encourages “residents to celebrate Public Health Week and the work of those dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of all people in our community.”

With the seventh, he proclaims April 17, 2024 to be Hemophilia Awareness Day in Appleton and encourages “residents to recognize that individuals with hemophilia depend [on] our community blood supply, blood products, and blood safety.”
