The Library Board is meeting 04/16/2024 at 3PM.
They have two routine action items on the agenda, approval of the bill register for March [the agenda says for March 2023, but I would assume they mean for March of 2024] and approval of a budget amendment.
The rest of the agenda is composed of information items.
They will be receiving a Library Project update. Per the update, the library is on track to open in early 2025 and the Friends of Appleton Public Library have raised $11 million of their $12 million goal.
They will also be reviewing the APL 2023 Annual Report. In 2023, the library saw 584,221 items checked out and experienced 187.974 library visits. They had just shy of $4.7 million in expenses and $5.8 million in capital expenses and brought in $1.2 million in revenue and $110,000 in grants.
They will also be receiving updates on hiring and the children’s program as well as a report on the Public Library Association Conference.
