The Parks and Recreation Committee is meeting 01/22/2024 at 6:15PM.
They will be taking up the proposed revised rental and fee schedule policies for Houdini Plaza and Jones Park. The Houdini Plaza fee schedule included a $25 across the board increase to rental fees.
The Jones Park policy did not include any fee increase but was updated to clean up language and allow propane gas cooking equipment to be used within the new outdoor food preparation area at the park.
These items were held at the last committee meeting in order to provide city staff enough time to research how many events that are held at Houdini Plaza and Jones Park are put on by Local Non-Profits, vs Nation Non-Profits, vs For-Profit Organizations, vs being private events.
The committee will also be voting on a request to award a contract to ISG for Phase II design services for Lundgaard Park. This will cover the design of the pavilion at the park and will be paid for through donations.
