Safety And Licensing Committee Meeting Tonight 12/13/2023 – Will Vote On Alcohol Licensing Municipal Code Updates, Creation Of New Code Pertaining To Fireworks Sales, Updates To Police Department Towing Fee Schedule

The Safety and Licensing Committee is meeting later this evening, 12/13/2023, at 5:30PM.

They have a number of license application that they will be voting on and will also be reviewing and voting on some policy related items.

They will be voting on proposed changes to the section of the municipal code related to alcohol licensing in order to update terminology, incorporate changes that have been made at the state level, and clarify the process and rules around alcohol license renewals. Along with those changes they will be updating the city’s alcohol license policy.

They will also be adding a section to the municipal code regarding the licensing of fireworks sales because city staff realized that although the city has been licensing fireworks sales vendors “this licensing activity was not codified in our Municipal Code.”

The committee will also be voting on changes to the Police Department’s towing fee schedule.
