Board Of Health Meeting 11/08/2023 – Will Receive Health Department 3rd Quarter Report, October Wastewater Covid Report

The Board of Health is meeting 11/08/2023 at 7AM.

There are no action items on the agenda, but there are several information items.

They will be receiving the Health Department’s Third Quarter report. Items of note include:

• The new lower blood lead reference value has resulted in an increase in children identified as having lead exposure.
• Latent TB cases are at 13 this year as compared to only 1 last year.
• The Health Department has a full number of required Public Health Inspectors which has resulted in a 68% increase in inspections compared to 2022.The number of Public Health Nursing visits is down sharply compared to last year (62 compared to 171). This is attributed to a reduction in referrals.

They will also be reviewing the Wastewater Covid report for October.

They will also be reviewing the November Health Department newsletter and new approved noise variances.
