The Municipal Services Committee is meeting 05/08/2023 at 4:30PM.
They will be taking up three action items.
The first is the anticipated award of the College Avenue Lane Reconfiguration Pavement Marking Contract. This had been put on hold at the last Municipal Services Committee meeting, but Public Works Director Danielle Block expected that the bids would be available to vote on during the meeting on 05/08/2023.
The second is a request from a resident to have her $75 sidewalk snow removal assessment waived. The agenda documents don’t indicate what her argument against the fee will be. Historically, snow removal assessments have not been something the committee has waived often if ever.
The third is a request from creative Downtown Appleton and Appleton Downtown Inc to install a parklet on Washington Street near the northwest corner of Washing and Appleton streets. The past couple years, they’ve installed the parklet along State Street near College Avenue, but it looks like this year it’ll be near Chase Bank and the Library.
The committee will also be receiving several information items including the April 2023 Bird E-scooter report, the 2022 Annual Parking Utility Report, and the Inspections Division report for April of 2023.
