Parks And Recreation Committee Meeting 11/07/2022 – Will Vote On Jones Park Fee Schedule, Updated Park Acquisition Map

The Parks and Recreation Committee is meeting 11/07/2022 at 6:30PM.

They’ll be voting on a couple Jones Park-related items including a contract to install shades in the park and a request to adopt a revised park rental and fee schedule policy specific to Jones Park.

They will also be voting on a request to approve a public facility needs assessment and a request to adopt a revised park acquisition map which would indicate preferred locations to acquire land for future neighborhood and community parks. The bulk of the proposed locations are on the north side which is where the city has seen much of its most recent growth.

Finally, as an information item, the committee will be receiving the October 2022 Reid Golf Course Report. Revenue is a little over $30,000 higher than at the end of October last year, but they still haven’t quite cracked the $1 million mark.
