The Appleton Redevelopment Authority Exhibition Center Advisory Committee is meeting 03/01/2022 at 1PM.
They will be welcoming a new committee member, Kelli Antoine, who will be replacing the outgoing representative from Kaukauna.
They’ll also be receiving an update on the Hilton and fox Cities Exhibition Center as well as a presentation on tourism in general and specific to the Fox Cities.
The expo center seems to still be very much in the rebuilding phase. In 2021 they hosted only 11 events and suffered a net operating loss of $114,734. For 2022, it looks as though they have 31 events scheduled so far which is an increase not only over 2021 but also over 2022.
Overall in the Fox Cities, hotel occupancy in 2021 was markedly above where it was in 2020, and revenue in the second half of the year looks as if it was comparable to pre-Covid years.
