Coronavirus Numbers For 01/31/2021

On 01/31/2021. Appleton reported 11 new confirmed cases and no new probable cases. Active cases decreased by 6. Cases out of isolation increased by 17. There were 2 new deaths.

Over the last week there were 145 total confirmed cases and 27 total probable cases. That means the 2 week burden for confirmed cases only is 368. If you calculate the 2 week burden using both confirmed and probable cases combined it is 452.

Of note is that Appleton has been tracking coronavirus cases for the last 46 weeks. When the total number of cases is averaged out for a weekly average it was steadily increasing until it hit a peak of 148.2 average weekly cases on week 44. Now, the the last two weeks that total weekly average of confirmed cases has dropped slightly–first to 147.8 and now to 147.7. This would be another indication that cases are, if only temporarily, slowing down in Appleton.
