The Board of Health is meeting 11/11 at 7am. There will be the ever constant Covid update.
Of particular interest is the 2nd quarter report. My first impression was that the health department looks like it is failing in multiple areas since Covid started. Vaccination rates are down markedly. Inspections are only about 60% of what they were last year. Referrals to Public Health Nurse, community health clinics, and interventions with clients and non clients are all way down from last year.
It looks like all these other areas of public health have been pushed aside by the focus on coronavirus. It should be an interesting meeting to tune into to hear their thoughts on this massive decline in services offered and vaccination rates.
