In response to a Freedom Of Information Act request by a parent, AASD has released information regarding the number of high school students who had at least 1 F on their 1st quarter report card.
21.46% of high school students received at least one F in the first quarter. 24.61% of seniors had at least one failing grade.
Apparently AASD only keeps long-term records of the semester grades (not the quarterly ones), so we cannot compare this to the rates from previous years. Fuller information should become available in January when the 1st semester grades are in.
