Finance Committee Meeting 10/25/2021 – Will Vote On 2021 ARPA Allocations And Ellen Kort Peace Park Funding

The Finance Committee is meeting 10/25/2021 at 5:30PM.

They will be voting on a request to approve the use of 2021 American Rescue Plan Act funds to cover over $6 million worth of 2021 expenses. This was recommended for approval at the October 11th Finance Committee meeting but then referred back to the Finance Committee by the Common Council. I missed that Council meeting due to sickness, so I don’t know what issue caused the refer back.

The committee will also be voting to award a stormwater pond sediment removal and disposal contract for $92,000 total including the $5,000 contingency.

They’ll also be voting to reallocate 2021 funds originally budgeted for the Nelson River Crossing project to the Ellen Kort Peace Park instead. This is because the river crossing project is on hold while Neenah Papers, which controls the waterway rights in the area the city wants to build the bridge, sells it property.

Finally, they’ll be voting on a request to reallocate excess budget funds from a roof replacement project to the Municipal Services Building office renovation project.

There area also a number of information items the committee will be reviewing including several change orders related to various projects and a number of departments’ 2022 proposed budgets.
