The Board of Education is meeting 10/11/2021. They’ll be holding a work session at 4PM in which they review the Results Policy “Results Interpretation & Indicators Document” for English Language Arts.
Of note is the fact that the percentage of AASD students who scored proficient or advanced on the English Language Arts portion of the WI Forward Exam in 2021 was below the statewide average for every grade except 6th.
At 6PM they will start the board meeting proper.
I would expect the main reason most people will be tuning into this meeting is because the Board will be reviewing the school masking protocol. The Leadership Team is recommending required masking continue. [I don’t think anybody genuinely expects the Board to go against that recommendation.]
The Board will be discussing and voting on a health insurance contract for 2022. The Leadership Team is recommending that they renew their contract with their current health insurance provider which will result in a 7.8% increase in costs.
The Board also appears to be receiving a special presentation in which they are celebrated.
