The Parks and Recreation Committee is meeting 07/21/2025 at 6:00PM.
They have one action item on their agenda which is a request to approve some ordinance changes so that the ordinance reflect current practices. These include removing mention of the Gardens of the Fox Velley Memorial Park as that group is no longer operating the Scheig Center and Gardens, adding Vulcan Heritage Park as a privately leased area since Fratellos leases park land for outdoor dining, and adding language to address vandalism and inappropriate use of tennis and pickleball courts. Additionally, ordinance language will be updated to reflect the recent banning of alcoholic beverages within 20 feet of pavilions and playgrounds.
