The Municipal Services Committee is meeting 07/21/2025 at 4:30PM.
They will be holding a public design hearing for the 2027 paving project for Oklahoma Street between Mason St. and Richmond St. It looks like the Department of Public Works has already received some feedback from property owners regarding proposed changes. Neighborhood residents are concerned about narrowing of the streets, loss of trees, loss of parking, and remaining parking being taken up by West High School students. The committee will only be holding a public hearing on that item and will not be voting on it at that time.

The committee will be voting on street design parameters for a couple new subdivisions and ordinance changes related to a couple paving projects.
They will also be voting on a couple agreements between the state and city pertaining to paying for and maintaining the Richmond Street/41 interchange and the Meade Street/41 overpass. Additionally, they will be voting on an agreement between Appleton and Grand Chute related to the construction of a traffic signal at the Richmond and Ridgeview intersection.
Additionally, they will be voting on a request from Edison Elementary School to paint lightbulbs on the sidewalk of proposed walking routes to school. Edison already has a permanent street occupancy permit allowing them to do this on some sidewalks, but with the closure of Columbus and the addition of the old Columbus attendance area to Edison’s attendance area, Edison needs to add new walking routes for their new students.
