City Plan Commission Meeting 04/09/2025 – Will Vote On Special Use Permit, Rezoning, Annexation, and Lundgaard Park Pavilion

The City Plan Commission is meeting 04/09/2025 at 3:30PM.

They have four action items on the agenda, two of which have associated public hearings.

The first action item with a public hearing is a request to approve a special use permit for a landscape business located at the corner of W Weiland Avenue and N Locust Street. The request pertains to two adjoining lots. One lot was previously used as a contractor’s office and includes a building with office space and a service bay. The other lot is vacant.

The owner would like to use the building and storage bay an office and indoor storage space for the landscape business. He would like to fence the vacant lot and use it as an outdoor storage area for equipment, vehicles, and materials related to the business.

Staff is recommending approval of the request.

The second action item with a public hearing is a request to rezone the parcels at 1930 and 1932 West College Avenue and 120 North Woods Edge Drive from M-2 General Industrial to C-2 General Commercial. Staff is recommending approval of the request.

The first action item that does not have an associated public hearing is a request to annex the 95.949 acres located at 4700 North Richmond Street from Grand Chute into Appleton. The site is currently undeveloped farmland with no electors living in it, and its boundary is contiguous with Appleton’s existing city boundary. The developer is planning to build a subdivision on it.

The second action item that does not have an associated public hearing is a request to approve the location and architectural design of the Lundgaard Park pavilion.
