City Plan Commission Meeting 03/08/2023 – Will Vote On Requests Related To Mead Pond Development’s Change From Condominium Association To Homeowner’s Association

The City Plan Commission is meeting 03/08/2023 at 3:30PM.

The public hearing and action items on the agenda are all related to a request related to the 28-parcel development on E Pondview Court.

The area is currently home to a condominium development that includes 28 detached condo units. The property owners would like to own their individual properties and eliminate shared ownership so they are currently in the process of dissolving the condominium association and creating an HOA.

Per the memo from staff, “The key difference between a condominium association and a homeowners’ association is what the individual members actually own. With a condo, each member owns their individual dwelling unit, and they have a shared ownership interest in the common areas. With a HOA, each member will own their individual dwelling unit and lot. The Preliminary Plat associated with this request subdivides the common area into 28 individual lots and 3 outlots. The outlots will be owned and maintained by the HOA.”

The Plan Commission is being asked to approve the change as well as approve a preliminary plat of the newly created lots.
