The City Plan Commission is meeting 11/09/2022 at 3:30PM.
They have one public hearing along with the related action item. That is for a Special Use Permit for gasoline sales and a car wash at 1935 E Calumet Street. Holiday Stationstores wants to build a location there. This will be right down the street from an existing car wash.
Of note, Holiday appeared before the Board of Zoning Appeals on 07/18/2022 and sought a variance to be allowed 85% lot coverage instead of the 75% maximum allowed by code. I did not have an opportunity to recap that meeting, but the Board of Zoning Appeals ended up denying the variance. That denial does not seem to have prevented them from moving forward with the development.
