The Board of Zoning Appeals is meeting 06/20/2022 at 8PM.
They will be taking up one variance request. A homeowner is requesting to construct a detached garage 5 feet from the front property line in front of an existing principal building; however, the Zoning Ordinance prohibits accessory buildings in the front yard.
This seems like a fairly straightforward request. Staff determined that it meets the review criteria because the lot is a double frontage lot with a unique triangle shape and also is a nonconforming lot of record that is smaller than the current minimum for a single-family residential property.
