Mayor Woodford To Present 6 Proclamation During 05/01/2024 Common Council Meeting – Will Honor Asian And Pacific Islanders, Jewish Americans, Municipal Clerks, Nurses, Public Servants, Teachers

 During the 05/01/2024 Common Council meeting, Mayor Woodford will be presenting 6 mayoral proclamations.

With the first he proclaims May 2024 to be Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in Appleton and encourages “residents to recognize the many contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islanders in our City, celebrate their heritage, and promote a culture of dignity and respect for all people.”

With the second he proclaims May 2024 to be Jewish American Heritage Month in Appleton and encourages “residents to recognize the many contributions of Jews Americans in our communities, celebrate their history, promote a culture of dignity and inclusion for all people, and oppose all forms of antisemitism.”

With the third he proclaims the week of May 5-May 11, 2024 to be Municipal Clerks Week in Appleton and extends “appreciation to our Municipal Clerk, Kami Lynch, and to all Municipal Clerks for the vital services they perform and their dedication to the communities they represent.”

With the fourth is claims the week of May 6-May 12, 2024 to be Nurse Appreciation Week in Appleton and calls “upon all residents to join me in honoring the registered nurses who care for all of us, celebrate their accomplishments and efforts to improve the health care system, and show appreciation for their work in our community.”

With the fifth he proclaims the week of May 5-May 11, 2024 to be Public Service Recognition Week in Appleton and encourages “all residents to join in recognizing the dedication and service of our public servants, and to express gratitude for their invaluable contributions to our communities and our nation.”

With the sixth he proclaims May 7, 2024 to be Teacher Appreciation Day in Appleton and encourages “all residents to join me in expressing appreciation to our teachers for their dedication and devotion to their work.”
