The Finance Committee is meeting 02/26/2024 at 5:30PM.
They have several project contracts that they have been requested to approve and will also be taking up the request to accept funding to install a kayak rental area at Telulah Park. This item had been discussed at the 02/14/2024 Finance Committee meeting and the committee ended up holding it for two weeks to allow staff time to gather more information about the company that wants to partner with the city to provide the kayak rental station and what the partnership between the company and the city would look like.
The committee will also be voting on a resolution reauthorizing the city to self-insure its Worker’s Compensation exposures. The city has self-insured itself in this area since 1990 but needs to approve the resolution in order to comply with state law.
