Mayor Woodford To Present 3 Mayoral Proclamations At 02/07/2024 Common Council Meeting – Black History Month, Burn Awareness Week, Go Red For Women Day

During the 02/07/2024 Common Council meeting, Mayor Woodford will be presenting 3 mayoral proclamations.

With the first, he proclaims February 2024 to be Black History Month in Appleton and encourages “all residents to celebrate our diverse heritage and culture, learn about our history, and continue efforts to create a community that is more just, peaceful, and prosperous for all.”

With the second, he proclaims the week of February 4 – February 10, 2024, to be Burn Awareness Week in Appleton and encourages “all residents to become familiar with burn prevention and take appropriate steps to protect their families from burn injuries.”

With the third, he proclaimed February 2, 2024, to be Go Red for Women Day in Appleton and encouraged “all residents to wear red to bring attention to heart disease as the leading cause of death for women. On National Wear Red Day, raise your voice and raise awareness and encourage others to do the same.”
