Bicycle And Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting 01/18/2024 – Will Receive DPD And Parks And Recreation Project Updates, Update On Appleton Conservancy

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee is meeting 01/18/2024 at 8AM.

Meetings of this committee are not recorded. They will be meeting at the Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Management Department building in Memorial Park.

They’ll be receiving project updates from the Department of Public Works and the Parks and Recreation Department.

They will also receive an update on the Complete Streets Study. As you may recall, the Complete Streets Study was a project to review multiple different city policies and plans related to streets, sidewalks, and trails, and create some sort of overarching plan. Back in August, representatives from Alta, the consultant firm overseeing the project, said they expected to have a final product completed in October and ready for public comment in November. I don’t remember seeing anything in November about it, but perhaps I just missed it.

Finally, they will be receiving information about the Appleton Conservancy. [I’m a little disappointed that this meeting won’t be recorded because it would be nice to find out what it going on with the Appleton Conservancy. Hopefully, that information will make its way to a Parks and Recreation committee meeting at some point in the near future.]
