Alderperson Schultz Asks People During The Holidays To Remember People Held In Captivity By Hamas

During the “Other Business” portion of the Common Council meeting, Alderperson Alex Schultz (District 9) took a moment to briefly mention the 8 Americans and 130 other people currently being held in captivity by Hamas.

Alderperson Alex Schultz (District 9): Thank you, Mayor. I just want to take a moment to sort of reflect on the fact that we still have eight hostages—American hostages held in captivity by Hamas and another 130 other hostages still being held. And as we celebrate the holidays in our safe, very safe community here with friends and family, I’d ask you to think about them and perhaps set a chair aside and a plate aside, just to sort of keep them in our hearts and minds.
