The Library Board is meeting 12/19/2023 at 4:30PM.
They have five action items some of which look to be minor and routine such as a budget amendment and changing some of the board’s meeting dates in 2024. They will also be voting on the City of Appleton’s Cod of Conduct Policy and its Silica Policy and voting to approve the 2024 Library Budget.
They agenda also contains a number of information items including a building project update, a capital campaign update, information on the APL website redesign, and library trustee development.
Construction on the library continues apace and, per the report, “opening day for the new library is on track for early 2025.” Additionally, the Friends of Appleton Public Library has thus far raised $10.3 million of their $12 million goal for the library capital campaign.
