Common Council Meeting 12/06/2023 – Will Vote On Design Parameters Of Perkins And Morrison Reconstruction Projects, Go Into Closes Session To Discuss The US Ventures Development Project

The Common Council is meeting 12/06/2023 at 7PM.

There are only a few items on the agenda. The Council will be voting on the design parameters for the Perkins Street reconstruction project and the Morrison Street reconstruction project. Both of these items received pushback from residents in the affected neighborhoods, but the Municipal Services Committee voted unanimously to approve the design recommendations presented by staff.

They will also be voting on an item that will be taken up by the Finance Committee in a special meeting at 6:30PM prior to the Council meeting. That item is a resolution to accept an interest-free loan from the WI Department of Revenue to offset property taxes that would otherwise be imposed as the result of errors made by the Department of Revenue.

Finally, the Council will go into closed session to deliberate or negotiate the purchasing of public properties and the investing of public funds regarding the US Venture development project.
