The Fox Cities Transit Commission is meeting 10/24/2023 at 2:50PM.
Outside of the routine approval of payments, the commission will be voting on two action items.
The first is a request to retain the consulting services of SRF Consulting to assist Valley Transit in submitting a RAISE grant application in 2024 for funds to build the new transit center. Valley Transit applied for a 2023 RAISE grant in an effort to acquire funding to build the new proposed multi-purpose transit center downtown but unfortunately were denied. They expect that the 2024 grant cycle may be more competitive than the 2023 cycle and would like to continue utilizing the services of the consultant who helped them put together the 2023 grant application.
The second, per the agenda, is a request to “Authorize PO to Smart Spaces for Audio Visual Equipment”. There are currently no supporting memos to go along with this agenda time, and I have no idea what “PO” means or who “Smart Spaces” is or what this audio/visual equipment is.
Finally, the commission will be receiving a number of information items including the monthly financial and ridership reports as well as the 3rd Quarter Key Performance Indicators report as well as an overview of Valley Transit’s 2024 budget.
