Parks And Recreation Committee Meeting 07/10/2023 – Will Vote On Sexual Assault Survivors Monument Final Design, Updated Stormwater Utility Agreements

The Parks and Recreation Committee is meeting 07/10/2023 at 6:15PM. They have two action items on the agenda.

The first is a request to adopt revised stormwater utility agreements  for stormwater ponds at Reid Golf Course and Memorial Park. The Stormwater Utility pays the city for the stormwater ponds in both of those locations. City staff is recommending that the payments for the ponds be increased to $41,769 for the two ponds within Memorial Park and $21,060 for the pond in Reid Golf Course.

The second item is a request to approve the final design of the Sexual Assault Survivors Monument to be placed within Ellen Kort Peace Park.

The Public Arts Committee recommended approval of the final design and it now needs to be approved by the Parks and Recreation Committee.

The committee will also be reviewing Reid Golf Course’s participation, revenue, and expense report for June.
