The Safety and Licensing Committee is meeting 06/14/2023 at 5:30.
They have a lot of items on the agenda, but for the most part they are various license applications and renewals.
One item of interest is the application by Core’s Lounge for a Class B Beer License.
Last year on 04/13/2022 Core’s Lounge had its alcohol license revoked due to having accumulated 225 demerit points within an 18-month period. At the time, Appleton’s Municipal Code called for license revocation after a business accrued more than 200 alcohol license demerit points in an 18-month period. Additionally, back in 2021, several neighbors in nearby residential properties had complained about noise generated by Core’s, although those complaints did not result in anything actionable.
Beyond the license applications and renewals, the committee will be taking up a request to approve a Shared Equipment Agreement and approve an agreement between the City of Appleton and the Wisconsin Emergency Management for Hazardous Materials Response For Northeast Wisconsin.
