The Library Board met 05/16/2023. During that meeting, they reviewed the updated renderings for the Library Project. Library Executive Director Colleen Rortvedt went over the 12 images and talked about their vision and expectations for the different spaces in the library and how they tried to maintain the spirit and style of the original grander and more expensive design even if it was now pared down.

The documents for the bids were slated to be released on 05/17/2023. Bidding would close in June although Director Rortvedt did not know when the opening date for bids would be. She said all the bids would be opened in public and the lowest bidder would be the winner, although staff would evaluate them all to make sure they were responsible bids. Groundbreaking was expected to take place this summer with construction starting as soon as possible after that.
