The Common Council is holding its regular meeting on 04/19/2023 at 7PM after the formal organizational meeting at 6PM.
Mayor Woodford will be presenting a new appointment to the Appleton Housing Authority. He is recommending the appointment of Cathy Spears a former Appleton alderperson, the current chairperson for the Board of Health, and a current Outagamie County Supervisor.
The Council will also be taking up a number of committee items.
One that is almost certain to be separated out for an individual vote is Resolution 2-R-23, the Resolution To Eliminate No Mow May.
This was discussed extensively at the 04/10/2023 Municipal Services Committee meeting, and the committee ended up voting 4-1 to recommend the resolution for denial with only Alderperson Chad Doran (District 15), the resolution’s author, voting in favor of approving the resolution.
