The Public Arts Committee is meeting 02/01/2023 at 8:30AM.
The one item on their agenda is to review the submissions for the “Images That Define Appleton” photo contest and pick 12 pictures and2 alternates to be displayed on the Houdini Plaza Welcome Tower.
There are 21 submitted by Appleton residents 18 years old and older.
There are 16 images submitted by those 17 and under.
Some pictures that stood out to me were photos number 1B (Pelican by Fox River Trail), 7 (Fall Berries at First English Lutheran Church), 13B (the stairs at Lawrence during peak fall season), 14A (Lawrence University Main Hall), 17A (the “Ring Dance” fountain), and 18B (Soldier’s Square memorial), 22A (Jones Park).
