The Common Council is meeting 02/01/2023 at 7PM.
Many of the committee meetings this last week were cancelled so there are not a lot of items on the agenda. One never knows exactly what if anything will be separated out for individual votes. Items that received particular discussion during the committee meetings include
- The changes to rules regarding the dedication of public land and fee-in-lieu of land dedication.
- The awarding of a $1 million ARPA grant to keep the RISE apartment development project solvent.
- The authorization for Valley Transit to apply for a $25 million grant to build a new multi-use transit center.
- The authorization for Valley Transit to use Stafford Rosenbaum LLP as legal counsel for the Transit Center Joint Development project.
The Safety and Licensing Committee will not be meeting until 30 minutes before the Council meeting, so one can’t know for sure if any of those items will prove notable; however, a glance of the agenda suggests they are fairly routine.
