The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is meeting 01/23/2023 at 6PM.

Some items of interest on the agenda include

  • A referendum update and vote to authorize the issuance of $75.3 million in bonds.
  • Open enrollment space availability for 2023-24. Staff is recommending that all grades at Huntley, Ferber, Houdini and Highlands Elementary Schools be closed for open enrollment due to no space being available.
  • An employee handbook revision removing the option for educators to receive post-employment benefits if they retire at the end of the first semester. If passed, educators would need to retire at the end of the school year in order to qualify for those benefits. This was discussed during the 01/09/2023 Board of Education meeting.
