Last September, the city approved a $135,000 contract with KL Engineering for design and engineering services for the WE Energies trail.
Now that the trail project has been suspended, I reached on to Director of Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Dean Gazza to find out if any of those funds remained given that the project had to be terminated early.
He said that there was money remaining, but since he still needed to finalize what was still owed he could not say how much remained. He did say that whatever was left would go to reduce future borrowing.
