Community And Economic Development Committee Meeting 06/08/2022 – Will Vote On Report For Block Grant Program, Possibly Go Into Closed Session To Discuss Counter Offer On Commerce Park Property

The Community and Economic Development Committee is meeting 06/08/2022 at 4:30PM.

They will vote on a request to approve the 2021 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report for the Community Development Block Grant Program.

They will also be voting on a request to waive the City’s repurchase rights for Lot 18 in the Northeast Business Park. This would allow the property to be transferred from Single Month, LLC to a new purchaser. The city has the right to repurchase the property but staff is recommending that right be waived.

Finally, the city received an offer to purchase a lot in the Southpoint Commerce Park which was less than what the city was requesting. Staff is recommending that the committee go into closed session to discuss the terms of a counter offer.
