Special Meetings Of The Finance And Utilities Committees Scheduled Ahead of 05/18/2022 Common Council Meeting

On 05/18/2022 ahead of the Common Council meeting at 7PM, there will be two special committee meetings.

At 6:30PM the Finance Committee will meet to lock in the interest rates for the $15,530,000 General Obligation Promissory Notes and the $11,460,000 Sewerage System Revenue Bonds that the city wants to issue. This was discussed and preliminarily approved at the 05/09/2022 Finance Committee meeting.

At 6:45PM the Utilities Committee will meet to vote on adopting a Governmental Responsibility Resolution for Urban Nonpoint Source and Stormwater Grants. The City of Appleton received a grant from the Department of Natural Resources to help control agricultural or urban storm water runoff pollution sources. This resolution seems to essentially authorize the City Engineer in the Department of Public Works to act on behalf of Appleton in the utilization of the grant and the implementation of the project.
