What Would Happen If Don Jobe Won District 8 Race?

There are two candidates on the April 5 ballot for the District 8 Aldermanic position, Joss Thyssen and Don Jobe. Voters can cast their vote for either one of those candidates; however, Don Jobe had an unexpected change in circumstances and moved out of District 8, so if he were the winner he would not be able to serve.

I contacted City Clerk Kami Lynch and asked her what would happen in the even that he did win the most votes.

She responded that, in that event, it would be up to the Common Council to decide next steps. They could either appoint someone to fill the seat or hold a special election for the seat.
