Normally on Mondays, the City of Appleton posts the coronavirus numbers for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Today, however, they only posted the numbers for Friday and Saturday which means I can’t give a total weekly case count yet until we’re given Sunday’s numbers. On 03/04/2022 – 03/05/2022 Appleton recorded 6 confirmed coronavirus cases and 0 probable cases. Active cases decreased by 22 to 37. Cases out of isolation increased by 28 to 21,289. Deaths remained unchanged at 81.
Appleton’s 7-day running average of confirmed and probable cases is currently 7.86 as compared to 10.71 on this day last year. Appleton currently has 37 active cases as compared to 276 on this day last year. From March 18, 2020 (the day of Appleton’s first case) through March 05, 2021 Appleton recorded 63 deaths with/from coronavirus and had a death rate for known cases of 0.81%. That compares to 18 such deaths from during the same timeframe beginning March 18, 2021 and a death rate of only 0.14%.
