On 03/03/2022 Appleton recorded 8 confirmed coronavirus cases and 2 probable cases. Active cases decreased by 9 to 59. Cases out of isolation increased by 20 to 21,261. Deaths remained unchanged at 81. I noted the reconciliation issue yesterday. That seems to have been corrected as the numbers are 1-off in the other direction today which means the total numbers for the last two days do reconcile correctly.
Appleton’s 7-day running average of confirmed and probable cases is currently 10.43 as compared to 12 on this day last year. Appleton currently has 59 active cases as compared to 281 on this day last year. From March 18, 2020 (the day of Appleton’s first case) through March 03, 2021 Appleton recorded 63 deaths with/from coronavirus and had a death rate for known cases of 0.82%. That compares to 18 such deaths from during the same timeframe beginning March 18, 2021 and a death rate of only 0.14%.
