On 09/08/2021 Appleton recorded 13 confirmed coronavirus cases and 10 probable cases. Active cases dropped by 35 to 147. Cases out of isolation increased by 58 to 9,543. Deaths remained unchanged at 67.
Our current 7-day running average of confirmed and probable cases is 20 and our 7-day running average of confirmed cases only is 12.43. This compares to a 7-day running average of confirmed cases of 18.71 on this day last year. (Appleton did not start recording probable cases until 11/23/2020). We currently have 147 active cases as compared to 224 on this day last year. Deaths remain down markedly compared to last year. Last year between March 18 (the day of Appleton’s first recorded coronavirus case) and September 8, we had 8 people die with/from coronavirus as compared to only 4 people dying during that same timeframe this year.
