Mayor Woodford To Present 4 Mayoral Proclamations At 06/02/2021 Common Council Meeting

During the 06/02/2021 Common Council meeting, Mayor Woodford will be presenting 4 Mayoral Proclamations.

With the first, he proclaims June 2021 to be Pride Month in Appleton and urges “all citizens to honor, celebrate, and promote equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.” He notes that City Hall will be flying a special flag on Tuesday, June 2 in honor of Pride Month.

With the second, he proclaims June 1-7, 2021 to be CPR and AED Awareness Week in Appleton and calls upon “citizens to practice the two-step hands-on CPR method and be aware of the CPR and AED educational opportunities available in our community.”

The third he uses to proclaim June 4, 2021 to be gun violence awareness day in Appleton and asks “citizens to renew their commitment to reduce gun violence, encourage responsible gun ownership, and to Wear Orange on June 4 to honor and remember all victims and survivors of gun violence and to raise awareness about gun violence.”

In the fourth, he proclaims June 19, 2021 to be Juneteenth Celebration Day in Appleton and encourages “all citizens to join in the commemoration and celebration of this historic day.”
